Privacy Policy
Last updated September 4, 2026
This policy explains what personal information The Síbín collects through thesibin.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have written it to describe what this website actually does, rather than to cover every eventuality.
Who we are
The Síbín is a mobile Irish pub hire business based in Plymouth, MA, 02360. For any question about this policy or your information, contact us at [email protected] or (508) 322-1298.
Information you give us
The only place this website asks you for information is our enquiry forms. When you submit one, we receive:
- Your name and email address — required, so we can reply.
- Your phone number — optional.
- Your event date and location — optional, to check availability.
- Your message — whatever you choose to tell us.
We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and to arrange a booking if you go ahead. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it for anyone else's marketing. We keep enquiries for as long as we have a working relationship with you and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records some technical information as you browse — your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and the site you arrived from. This is used to understand how the site is performing and to keep it secure.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and which buttons they use. It sets cookies in your browser and sends data to Google. We have configured it so that advertising and personalisation signals are switched off by default — analytics is the only category enabled.
We may also use the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Where we send Meta a record of an enquiry, your email address is hashed before it leaves our servers, so Meta does not receive it in readable form.
We never attach your name, email address, phone number or the contents of your message to analytics or advertising events.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. The site works normally either way.
Spam protection
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person rather than an automated script. It receives your IP address and some browser characteristics to make that assessment.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers to run this website and our email. They process information on our behalf:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security and bot protection.
- Amazon Web Services (SES) — delivers enquiry emails to our inbox.
- Zoho Mail — hosts the mailbox those enquiries arrive in.
- Google — website analytics.
- Meta — advertising measurement, where advertising is running.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will deal with it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we will honour those requests regardless of whether we are strictly obliged to.
If you would rather not use a form at all, just call us on (508) 322-1298.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging events. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
Enquiries are transmitted over an encrypted connection and delivered to a mailbox protected by access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information you send us and we limit who can see it.
Changes
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
