In the Plymouth area
Delivery, setup and collection are included in the rental. This is where the pub sleeps, so there is no travel to charge for and no surprise on the invoice.
Based in Plymouth. The whole South Shore is a short drive.
Looking for a mobile bar on the South Shore, MA? Ours is the one that lives here. The Síbín is a mobile Irish pub business based in Plymouth, and a pub rental anywhere in the Plymouth area comes with delivery included. The rest of the South Shore, from Kingston and Duxbury up the coast to Hingham and Cohasset, is a short drive, and we quote the delivery fee up front before you book.
There are two pubs to pick from: The Síbín, a towed Victorian Irish pub with a real snug and genuine Irish history on the walls, and The Aer, an inflatable pub for 25 to 30 that goes up on a lawn in minutes. You supply the drink, or add our bartenders from Ireland. Prices are on the pricing page, and the quickest way to a date is the contact form.

A short drive from Plymouth, so the delivery fee is small and quoted with the booking. You will know the full figure before you say yes to anything.
Every rental is a day and a night. The pub can arrive the afternoon before and leave the morning after, so the delivery never cuts into the party.
Full rates for both pubs and the bartenders are on the pricing page.
Plymouth is home, and Kingston, Duxbury and Pembroke are near enough that the pub is at your door before the kettle has boiled. Up the coast, the stretch through Marshfield and Scituate has carried the nickname the Irish Riviera for generations, and in fairness it is hard to think of a better place to park an Irish pub. Cohasset and Hingham harbours are the same story a little further north.
Inland, Norwell, Hanover and the towns either side of Route 3 are regular runs, and the road carries us straight on to Weymouth, Braintree and Quincy, where the South Shore meets the city. If you are past that, our Greater Boston page picks up the story, and Cape Cod is the other direction over the bridge.
The Síbín needs a level, hard surface — concrete, asphalt, gravel or pavers — of at least 22 feet by 14 feet, easily reached by the truck; The Aer needs a flat four-metre square and is happy on a lawn. A driveway or a paved patio suits the trailer best. A sloping lawn running down to the water is the one thing to tell us about in advance.
The Síbín arrives behind a truck and leaves the same way, so we need a route in and out for delivery and collection. The Aer arrives folded in the back of a van, so it asks a good deal less of the driveway.
Both pubs run off one ordinary 20-amp outlet within 100 feet of the pub — we bring the extension cord. The Síbín powers its coolers, lights, heater, AC and TV; The Aer’s blower has to run continuously while the pub is standing. No power on site? A generator is one of the add-ons we quote with the booking.

Holds 30 The Síbín is the real thing on wheels: seats 16 in a snug, a working bar with two draft lines, a stove heater for a Marshfield evening in November and AC for a Plymouth one in July. On the walls are Dáil Éireann bonds, a Daniel O’Connell signature and a 1916 Irish Volunteer newspaper, all genuine. It is the only mobile Irish pub with a snug we know of in New England. $997 midweek, $1,200 at the weekend, for 24 hours.
The Aer is the inflatable pub for the bigger backyard: holds 25–30, pitched roof, a door worth walking through, and up in minutes. $500 for 24 hours any day, with a bar table, seating and a jockey box as add-ons. A third pub is coming.
Either pub comes as dry hire, where you supply the drink, or fully staffed with our bartenders from Ireland, one of them a Dubliner.

Inside the Plymouth area, yes — travel is included in the rental. For the rest of the South Shore, from Kingston and Duxbury up through Marshfield, Hingham and on to Quincy, we quote a delivery fee up front with the booking, so there is nothing added on the day. Tell us the address when you get in touch and the quote comes back with the availability.
It can, and it is one of our favourite spots for it. The Síbín needs a level patch about the size of a parking space with room for the truck to get in and out, and The Aer needs a four-metre square of flat ground. Either pub needs an ordinary power outlet within reach; The Aer’s blower runs the whole time it is up. Coastal gardens in Scituate, Cohasset and Duxbury tend to be breezier than inland ones, which is no trouble for the pubs themselves, but it is worth us knowing before we arrive.
For a crowd that will drift in and out over an evening, The Síbín seats about 16 in a snug with a stove heater, which is lovely from October through to April. For a bigger summer party, The Aer holds 25 to 30 and goes up on a lawn in minutes. The Síbín is $997 midweek and $1,200 at the weekend; The Aer is $500 any day. Both are 24-hour rentals.
Both, depending on who you ask, and we are not going to settle the argument. For our purposes they are a straight run up Route 3 from Plymouth and we treat them as South Shore bookings. If you are further in towards the city, our Greater Boston page covers the practical side of towing a pub into town.
We spend most of March here. With the pub based in Plymouth, South Shore addresses get the shortest drive and the most March dates, but they also go first — the weekend either side of the 17th is usually gone months ahead. Our St. Patrick’s Day page has the detail; the short version is to book as early as you can.
Either. Dry hire means you supply the drink and pour it yourselves; the pub comes with two draft lines, keg setup and beer gas, coolers and a sink. Or add our bartenders from Ireland, TIPS-certified and insured, from $499 for a 4-hour event. We never sell alcohol, so the drink is yours either way.
Tell us the town, the date and roughly how many are coming. South Shore bookings get the shortest drive and the quickest answer.
